GoHighLevel Has No Content Protection.
This Fills That Gap.
Course creators using GoHighLevel to sell high-ticket programs face a problem the platform does not solve: protecting the content they built. Nigel Brooks built a digital IP protection layer that sits on top of GHL. It blocks downloads, gates access by active subscription status, tracks engagement, and cuts access the moment a member cancels, all without touching the video host.
The Challenge
Creators charge what their content is worth. The platform was not protecting it.
GoHighLevel is a popular platform for course creators and coaches, but its native tooling has a meaningful blind spot: once a member has access to content, there is no reliable mechanism to prevent downloading, screen recording, or continued access after a subscription lapses. For creators charging thousands of dollars for programs, this represents real revenue loss and IP exposure.
The solution needed to operate transparently. Members who are in good standing experience no friction. Hard boundaries are enforced against unauthorized access and content extraction.
Protection Layer
The Build
A protection layer that wraps the platform without breaking it.
The system operates as a layer on top of GoHighLevel without modifying the video host or requiring the creator to migrate their content. Access control is enforced through session-based gating that checks subscription status before serving any protected content. Downloads are blocked at the delivery layer: not just hidden in the UI, but technically prevented from completing.
The system tracks who watched what and when, giving creators visibility into engagement without requiring a separate analytics platform. When a member cancels or their subscription lapses, access is cut automatically with no manual intervention and no grace period where content remains accessible after payment stops.
Members who are paying experience nothing unusual. The protection is invisible to them. It only becomes visible when someone tries to extract or retain content they are no longer entitled to.
What Was Delivered

Content downloads technically blocked at the delivery layer, not just hidden from the UI.
Subscription-Gated Access
Session-based access control validates subscription status before serving any protected content.
Engagement Tracking
Who watched what and when, logged without requiring a separate analytics tool.
Instant Access Revocation
Access cut automatically on cancellation or lapse, no manual step, no grace window.
